Description

You will work in a multi-functional team which is developing software to run innovative machine learning systems in the cloud and on device. You are passionate about implementing performant ML based algorithms in a distributed system and keep up to date with best practices and new technologies. You will also work closely with ML engineers to ensure their algorithms can be deployed efficiently on device and in the cloud.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Proficiency in Go, C, C++, Java, or other generalist programming languages.
  • Practical knowledge of common data structures and algorithms.
  • Understanding of distributed computing (load balancing, RPC, Map/Reduce, databases)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of machine learning theory and algorithms (preferred)
  • Experience with AI model training and deployment using Tensorflow or Pytorch (preferred)
  • Experience with ads models and ads optimization (preferred)
  • Experience with data processing pipelines and big data (preferred)
  • Experience with search engines, indexing, and serving (preferred)
  • Experience with natural language processing or speech recognition (preferred)
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • An appreciation for good API design.
  • Ability to write correct, clear, and understandable code.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
