Description

We are seeking an experienced engineer, applied ML practitioner or data scientist to own several highly visible initiatives in the Measurement team of Apple's artificial intelligence and machine learning division. Some example projects include: generation of synthetic data to train and evaluate LLMs, training/fine tuning LLMs to automatically evaluate the output of other LLMs, optimizing the task selection of human annotators, and several applications of differential privacy. Successful candidates will need to have a passion for user privacy and superb communication skills with an ability to influence at all levels of the organization, from junior engineers to Sr. Directors and SVPs. Creative problem solving, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills are critical for this position. You will be working on multiple unrelated systems each week, so the ability to learn quickly and an excitement for new things is a must. You must be comfortable with ambiguity and a complex cross-functional environment, requiring relentless collaboration and laser focus on outcomes.
