Partner with machine learning engineering leaders to deliver high-impact science and analytics that optimize the performance of our conversational commerce, recommendations and personalization experiences across Apple. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead and mentor a team responsible for data/business analytics, architecture discussions, performance optimization, and access of reliable data across systems. - Oversee the collection, transformation, and integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency. - Perform data analysis, various modeling techniques, and experimentation to uncover trends and insights that inform business decisions. - Use advanced visualization techniques and data storytelling methods to present findings and communicate key business metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or a related field and 3+ years of industry experience or BS in related field with 5+ years hands-on industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in hiring and leading teams of data-related engineering roles.
  • Working knowledge of data science/analytics best practices, automation techniques, and/or production support of customer-facing programs utilizing machine learning at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in data storytelling, with the ability to translate complex datasets into easy-to-understand visualizations and narratives.
  • Strong understanding of how to integrate data context into business storytelling, helping teams connect data insights with strategic objectives.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot opportunities for data quality enhancements in support of the program.
  • Deep knowledge of how to measure effectiveness in supporting decision-making and driving business performance.
  • Excellent presentation skills, distilling complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways.
  • Makes space to listen, learn, and amplify diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Actively seeks out opportunities to champion and celebrate inclusion and diversity.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,400 and $358,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
