Senior Machine Learning Manager - Matching, Ad Platforms

Description

- You will lead our matching teams where you will be responsible for creating retrieval systems (online and offline) that will optimized for user interaction and platform performance - You will oversee the design or our retrieval systems and work hand in hand with our Engineering teams to develop a scalable architecture that will allow our business to scale while maintaining our SLAs - You'll work across several Engineering and Business teams to scale your deliverables and bring an improved user experience and monetization potential to our platform - You have excellent understanding of scalable architectures including operational concerns

Qualifications

  • 10+ years applying and leading teams that apply sophisticated statistical/ML methods and work with large, complex data sets
  • 4+ years experience building information retrieval systems in ads or search context
  • Experience in some of the following domains: Algorithms, Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Deep Neural Networks, Distributed Systems, Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Statistics
  • Applicable understanding of mathematics behind modern machine learning, linear algebra and statistics
  • Hands on experience developing & supervising Python or Java production code
  • You're familiar with databases, SQL, and scripting languages
  • Proven track record to take requirements from design through to implementation both independently and with larger teams
  • You actively manage performance of the team reporting to you and take ownership to drive its outcome
  • Experience developing and implementing ad algorithms, yield optimization solutions and marketplace data analyses within an ad network
  • Masters or equivalent experience in AI/ML/Mathematics/CS or related field

  • PhD in AI/ML/CS/Mathematics or related field

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
