Sr. Machine Learning Engineering Manager, Intelligent System Experience

(f/m/d) · 2/24/2025

Description

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who can set long-term goals, while charting a path with measurable progress milestones along the way. You will provide hands-on technical direction to your team, forge collaborations and influence cross-functional partners. This leader will also ensure buy-in from senior leadership and adapt to feedback and changes in a dynamic environment. You will be expected to advance human interaction modeling across various fronts, at a system level, and at a core ML algorithm level. Some of the myriad challenges include perceiving subtle cues in gaze, affect, or prosody, handling deeply interleaved streaming inputs, reasoning over varying temporal contexts, developing memory systems to enable long-term adaptation, generating semantically rich internal representation to enable open-ended downstream tasks, etc. You will be responsible for delivering solutions that can readily be adopted in production pipelines, such as APIs for production-ready ML models, or algorithms well integrated into training infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading ML research teams.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SOTA in large auto-regressive transformer models, multi-modal encoders, and representation learning.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working with large cross-functional and diverse teams.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, maintaining ML code-bases grounded in software engineering principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading applied research in an industry setting
  • Proven track record of deployting innovative ML technologies in production.
  • Familiarity with developing ML for resource-constrained devices.
  • Master’s or PhD’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Publications in peer-reviewed venues in relevant areas
