About the Role
We’re seeking full-stack engineers to own features end-to-end—from backend services to polished user interfaces. You’ll build the systems, APIs, and client experiences that bring OpenAI’s models to life for consumers and developers, combining strong engineering fundamentals with product sensibility.
In this role, you will:
Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and web interfaces for products like ChatGPT and the OpenAI API.
Implement user-facing features using React/TypeScript while maintaining robust server-side logic in languages such as Python or Go.
Collaborate with design and product teams to translate AI capabilities into intuitive experiences.
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high availability and performance.
Qualifications
Have up to 6 years of full-stack engineering experience delivering production products.
Are comfortable working across the stack with technologies such as React, TypeScript, Python, Go, and modern cloud infrastructure.
Enjoy owning projects from concept through deployment and iteration.
