Staff AI Deployment Strategist - DACH

8/27/2026

Description

The Role

As Staff AI Deployment Strategist, you will shape how some of the most ambitious enterprises in the DACH region adopt frontier AI at scale.

This is a senior, high-impact role at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution. You will work directly on Mistral’s most strategic opportunities and largest deliveries, helping customers move from ambition to measurable business outcomes. You will frame complex AI transformation programs, turn executive priorities into actionable roadmaps, and ensure that Mistral delivers systems that are valuable, scalable, and trusted.

You will also act as a senior sponsor on our most critical customer programs, bringing judgment, structure, and delivery excellence to high-stakes engagements. Your mandate is to raise the ambition and quality of AI adoption: helping customers identify where AI can create step-change value, making the right trade-offs, and ensuring that execution matches the strategic promise.

This role is ideal for an experienced strategy consultant, transformation leader, or senior operator who wants to move from advising on change to building it directly with frontier AI technology.

What You Will Do

  • Shape high-impact AI transformations

    • Partner closely with Mistral’s Sales leadership in DACH to qualify opportunities, align on account strategy, and drive executive engagement.

    • Work with senior customer stakeholders to identify where frontier AI can create material business value.

    • Structure complex opportunities into clear, credible, and executable transformation programs.

    • Translate strategic ambition into delivery roadmaps, success metrics, and operating plans.

    • Help customers make the right trade-offs between ambition, feasibility, speed, and long-term scalability.

  • Sponsor Mistral’s most strategic deliveries

    • Act as a senior sponsor on the largest and most complex customer programs, primarily in DACH and potentially cross-region as priorities evolve.

    • Ensure delivery quality, executive alignment, and measurable business impact.

    • Anticipate risks, unblock decisions, and help teams navigate ambiguity in high-stakes environments.

    • Bring senior judgment to moments where scope, resources, timelines, or expected value need to be clarified.

  • Build repeatable deployment excellence

    • Turn lessons from strategic engagements into reusable approaches, playbooks, and patterns.

    • Raise the bar for how AI programs are qualified, framed, delivered, and scaled.

    • Act as a senior relay for the Solutions organization in the region, helping teams adopt shared best practices, adapt them thoughtfully to local market specificities when needed, and strengthen the quality of execution.

    • Work hand in hand with Solutions leadership to connect customer realities, delivery patterns, and field feedback into practical ways of improving how Mistral deploys AI.

    • Help codify what great enterprise AI deployment looks like across industries and use cases.

    • Contribute to a Solutions culture that combines strategic clarity, technical depth, and strong execution.

  • Develop and multiply senior DS impact

    • Coach Deployment Strategists on strategic problem-solving, executive communication, and delivery leadership.

    • Help teams raise the quality of their work on the highest-impact opportunities.

    • Identify capability gaps and contribute to hiring, staffing, and development priorities.

    • Act as a force multiplier across accounts, teams, and regions where your experience can have the highest leverage.

Qualifications

  • 8 to 10+ years of professional experience in strategy consulting, digital transformation, AI, enterprise technology, or a similarly demanding environment.

  • Experience operating at Partner, Principal, Engagement Manager, Director, or equivalent level in a top-tier strategy consulting or transformation context.

  • A strong ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify value, and turn strategy into execution.

  • Experience leading large accounts, complex programs, or senior customer relationships.

  • The credibility to engage with executives and C-level stakeholders on business priorities, trade-offs, and impact.

  • Strong analytical and commercial judgment, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.

  • Comfort working at the frontier of technology, even when solutions are evolving quickly and the path is not fully defined.

  • A low-ego, high-ownership mindset and a desire to build with customers and teams, not just advise from a distance.

  • Fluency in English; German is a strong plus.
